JoJo Siwa has signed up for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars, where she will be part of the show’s first ever same-sex partnership.
In January of this year, the former Dance Moms star, now 18, came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
The online star will perform on the program with a female professional dancer, despite the fact that she has not labeled her sexuality.
According to Deadline, producer Andrew Llinares revealed the news during a panel with presenter Tyra Banks.
‘I think it’s great, I believe it breaches a boundary that’s never been broken before,’ JoJo commented on social media.
‘I think it’s very great that I get to tell the world that you can love whoever you want, but now you can dance with whomever you want.’
‘I’m very thrilled to be a part of this year’s Dancing With The Stars season 30 and I’m going to be dancing with a female,’ she said in a video posted on the show’s official social media accounts.
‘It’s going to be the greatest show ever.’ I can’t wait to dance every week, to meet my partner, oh my goodness, there are so many things I’m looking forward to!’
Suni Lee, an Olympic gold winner, has also agreed to participate on the program, with the remainder of the cast to be announced next month on Good Morning America.
‘I’m ecstatic to be a part of season 30 of Dancing With The Stars,’ she added. ‘I’ll see you on the dance floor,’ says the narrator.

JoJo shared a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that said, “Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever.” earlier this year, when she revealed her sexuality.
When a fan questioned, “What label are you?” during an Instagram Live after her revelation, JoJo chose not to place herself in a box when it came to her sexuality.
‘I’ve thought about it, and the reason I’m not going to say anything is because I’m not sure what the answer is.’ Humans are wonderful, and I believe they are really amazing individuals.
‘Right now, I’m very happy, and although I truly want to share everything with the world, I also want to keep certain aspects of my life private until they’re ready to be shared.’
‘Right now, what counts is that you know it’s acceptable and wonderful to love whoever you choose, and that the world is there for you.’
‘There are so many individuals that are there for you,’ she said. I understand that everyone’s circumstance is different, and it may be more difficult or easier for certain individuals to come out or be themselves, but I believe that coming out has a stigma attached to it — that it’s this terrifying thing to do, but that’s no longer the case.

‘It’s alright because there are so many welcoming and caring individuals out there. Of course, someone will argue it’s not normal, but then again, nothing is normal. There is literally nothing typical about anybody, and it’s acceptable not to be normal, to be a bit different, to be a little odd, unusual, and different.
‘We should never, ever be frightened of anything like that.’ That is something to be proud of…. What counts is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.’
‘I have never, ever, ever felt this happy before, and it feels really great,’ the Boomerang singer said.
