Declaring anything as the best needs to have concrete evidence behind it so no one can question it being the best. But what if something you want to declare as the best is highly personalized to you? What if you want to proclaim that a song is the best song ever created? Or is a video game the best one ever made? See where I am going with this? My point is that you cannot claim anything to be the best if you do not have evidence to show for it, especially if it is something that has artistic properties.
Because everybody sees art differently, calling one piece of art superior to another does not make sense. Since both artists are trying to achieve completely different things altogether, comparing the two and declaring one to be better will undermine the creativity of the art.
Now, what we are doing in this blog is going to be pretty similar to that—we are going to declare the best mastery camo in Black Ops 6. While this is my opinion of the best-looking camo in the game, yours may differ.
Before declaring the best one, let’s talk about others that are pretty cool to have and can be considered the best in the game. If you’re aiming to unlock all camos, then grinding through the mastery camos is definitely a challenge worth taking on!
Afterlife:
The first one, which is a GOAT contender, in my opinion, is Afterlife. This camo came out after the Zombies update in BO6, which is why most people still don’t have this one in their loadout yet. But regardless of that, the skin looks pretty sick. The visuals remind you of the dark tonality of Zombie mode. Also, it has great animations while shooting, and in the dark, it glows with a bluish light, making it a perfect choice to play with Zombies. Because the lighting in the Shrine of the Zombies gets inconsistent, having a lighted-up camo in hand gives you all the confidence in the world to keep going.
Getting this camo is pretty straightforward but incredibly hard to do. First, you need to unlock every weapon, and then you have to complete the military camo challenges. After doing that, you must get 20 kills without taking a single HP damage. You need to do this 10 times in a row to unlock this beautiful camo. Moving on to the next one:
Dark Matter
Just missing out on being the best camo in the game is Dark Matter for me. If you don’t already know, Dark Matter is an OG skin that was introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 almost a decade before this game, which makes this camo give off a trip of nostalgia as well. Apart from its history in the game, it is still loved as much as it was before because it is one of the few skins in the game that has just the perfect amount of aesthetics without being a distracting gun. The gun animations, the glow it has, and the reflections it produces when lighting hits it at the right spot make it a glorious-looking skin.
The unlocking process for this camo is also pretty straightforward. First, you have to complete two camo challenges: the military and the special ones, and you have to do them for all 33 weapons in the game. After completing these missions, all you have to do is get 5 kills in a row without dying three times, and that’s it Moving on to the next one:
Abyss:
For me, the Abyss camo is the best-looking camo in the game. There’s just something about it that hits differently than Dark Matter. It almost looks like a mythical weapon in the game or something Thor might use as his primary weapon because it has a lightning-strike effect that glows when you shoot. It also has an animation for shooting, so as soon as you fire, it reacts with blue patterns on the gun, and Abyss looks absolutely stunning in the perfect lighting conditions. Or maybe it’s the unlocking process that makes it extremely hard to get, making it an ever-elusive thing that increases its beauty. These are the reasons why I think Abyss is the best-looking camo in the game.
Now, unlocking the Abyss camo is not a piece of cake. Not only do you need to complete base camo challenges like the military camo challenges and the special camo challenges, but you also need to complete at least three mastery camo challenges for each weapon in the game, making it a lot more tedious to acquire than any other camo in the game. After completing the mastery challenges for all weapons three times, the Abyss will unlock for all weapons automatically.
