The Pokémon Trading Card Game has been around since the late 90s, and it’s still going strong as one of the most popular collectible card games in history. The game is an online-only experience that allows players to battle with their cards against others from all over the world. Since Pokemon TCG Online launched way back in 2001, we’ve seen a lot of expansions for decks and new features added to make things even more exciting than what came before them. We can’t wait to see what 2022 has planned for this classic title!
The “pokemon tcg online best theme deck 2021” is a list of the top 10 expanded decks for Pokemon TCG Online in 2022. The list includes cards from all expansions up to and including Celestial Storm.
The most intriguing format in Pokemon TCG Online is Expanded. Everything from Standard makes its way into Expanded, which becomes a wild battlefield of all kinds of Pokemon and Trainer cards. There are other counters to popular tactics, such as ADP/Z, which only has a hard counter in Expanded despite being the top deck in Standard.
As a result, the format is future-proof and diverse, and you’ll seldom see the same deck again, which means that not everyone will be carrying that counter. Here are ten of the greatest Expanded decks for the Pokemon TCG Online Expanded format in 2022.
Wall Stall No. 10
The stall deck is back! This deck is back in full force now that Lusamine has been unbanned, and it is one of the finest budget decks in the game. Snorlax just prevents your opponent from escaping and stalls the game indefinitely, nearly often forcing your opponent to resign.
9. Cinccino management
Cinccino control decks come in a wide range of styles and aren’t the most user-friendly. Cinccino is good for drawing cards (thanks to Exeggcute), Bunnelby is good for its Oranguru-like ability, Alolan Muk is good for discarding your opponent’s cards, Girafarig is good for sending cards to the lost zone, and Aricuno-GX is good for discarding all of your opponent’s Energy.
ADP deck #8 (s)
We’ve already spoken enough about ADP, and although we’re delighted it’s no longer in Standard, it’s still a powerful Expanded option. You can use Pokemon Ranger to counter it, but who wants to carry a Supporter card just for that? ADP has this wacky ability that completely skews the game in your favor:
Altered Creation-GX – Your Pokémon’s attacks do 30 extra damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon for the remainder of the game (before applying Weakness and Resistance). When your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 additional Prize card if this Pokémon has at least 1 extra Water Energy linked to it (in addition to the cost of this attack). (In a game, you can only use one GX attack at a time.)
Traditionally, ADP has been coupled with Zacian V, although the new Duraludon variant has seen a lot of play in Expanded events.
Garchomp and Giratina-GX are ranked 7th and 8th, respectively.
This is a fun, inexpensive, and powerful deck that I would suggest to anybody who has the cards. Garchomp and Giratina-GX can easily one-shot cards like Pikarom thanks to their attack:
Calamitous Slash (160+): This move delivers 80 extra damage if your opponent’s Active Pokémon already has any damage counters on it.
You may just use Galarian Zigzagoon to initiate this attack. Then there’s Nanganadel & Guzzlord-GX, who can easily win you easy bouts with their GX attack:
GX Chaotic Order Face up all of your Prize cards. (For the remainder of the game, those Prize cards stay face up.) Take 2 Prize cards if this Pokémon has at least 1 additional Psychic Energy and 1 extra Darkness Energy linked to it (in addition to the cost of this attack). (In a game, you can only use one GX attack at a time.)
The deck guide for the Garchomp & Giratina-GX Expanded deck can be found here.
6. Deck of Zacian (s)
Zacian has a fantastic ability that does 230 damage:
Sword of Courage You may look at the top three cards of your deck once during your turn and attach any number of Metal Energy cards you find there to this Pokémon. Place the remaining cards in your hand. Your turn ends if you use this Ability.
This card, being the face of Sword & Shield, isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and may be coupled with a variety of cards, the most popular of which are ADP and Lucario & Melmetal-GX.
5. Zoroark-GX and Snorlax VMAX
Here’s another deck that’s really consistent and a lot of fun to play. Triple Acceleration Energy is used to power Snorlax VMAX’s attack, while Special Charge is used to recycle that Energy. You can also utilize the good old Sky Field to extend your bench, after which you may employ Snorlax’s assault to its full potential:
Fall G-Max: 60+ For each of your Benched Pokémon, this attack does an additional 30 damage.
The deck guide for the Snorlax VMAX Expanded deck can be found here.
4. Insane Party
Except for the inclusion of Dedenne-GX, Mad Party is one of the finest one-prizer Expanded decks in Pokemon TCG Online, relying on a group of apparently weak Pokemon who all share the same attack:
20x Mad Party
This attack does 20 damage to each Pokémon with the Mad Party attack in your discard pile.
Pikarom 3
Pikarom either causes your opponent stop or never gets started, resulting in a tie. Boltund VMAX from Fusion Strike is the newest addition to this deck, making it even more powerful, although it was already one of the greatest decks in the game before that. With the ability to link Energies to your Pokemon, Pikachu & Zekrom-GX packs a lot of punch. Furthermore, the deck has a number of Item Cards that take it to the next level and make it super-consistent, allowing you to grab 3-4 Energies onto your Pokemon on turn one.
The Pikarom Expanded deck’s deck guide can be found here.
2. VMAX Coalossal
The only reason Coalossal VMAX is so high on this list is because it hard-counters the #1 and #3 decks. The VMAX’s 240-damage assault is the foundation of this deck, as is its initial strike:
40+ Eruption Shot
Remove the top card from your deck and discard it. This attack adds 90 additional damage and attaches that card to this Pokémon if that card is an Energy card.
Oranguru and Magcargo are the deck’s major engines, ensuring that Energy is at the top of the stack. It’s simple to use and can one-shot all of the cards in Pikarom and Eternatus decks. However, against any other opponent, it drops a tier yet remains a formidable opponent.
1. Zoroark-GX and Eternatus VMAX
This deck has held up remarkably well over time, however it is seldom used in tournaments because to the prevalence of Coalossal VMAX decks, which completely destroy it due to type advantage. However, since Coalossal is seldom used on the Expanded ladder, this deck will give you some really excellent match-winning streaks. It is without a doubt one of the finest Expanded decks in Pokemon TCG Online, and it has fared well in the 2021 Rotation.

The Eternatus VMAX and Zoroark-GX Expanded deck’s deck guide can be found here.
This deck utilizes Eternatus VMAX to increase your bench space to 8, then uses its 2-Energy attack to do 30 damage to each Dark Pokemon in your deck. Darkrai-GX and Zoroark-GX are your two dark Pokemon. Zoroark possesses a comparable attack to Eternatus, as well as the ability to draw cards each round. Darkrai-GX, on the other hand, has the ability to revive itself (along with an Energy) from the discard pile, as well as a wild GX attack that may KO your opponent if it has any special condition. Hypnotoxic Laser is used to apply the condition on that Pokemon.
Endnote
For those of you who are interested in genuine competitive events, you may come across tournaments that only accept single-Prizers. Cinccino is an obvious choice from this list for such competitions, although Blacephalon also performs well. Although Blacephalon cannot compete with the V/VMAX decks on this list, it is a viable choice for single-Prizer Expanded events. This is an excellent Expanded Blacephalon deck list that has done well in tournaments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best deck in Pokemon TCG Online?
A: This is a hard question to answer because there are so many decks out there, but the best deck in my opinion would be something that has good synergy with its own Pokemon. If your favorite pokemon is Charmander, then you should try playing using only Charmander cards.
What is the best Pokemon card 2021?
A: The best Pokemon card 2021 is the Shining Darkness. It has a resistance to psychic and dark attacks, an immunity to poison, and it doesn’t faint when its HP becomes zero.
What is the best Pokemon deck?
A: There is no best Pokemon deck, because different players have their own preferences. The most popular decks right now are the Dragon and Rainbow decks.
